We exist to bring hope, homes and healing to children in foster care.
About
4KIDS of South Florida is a non-profit organization committed to providing hope, homes and healing for children in crisis due to abuse, abandonment or neglect. 4KIDS recruits, trains, and licenses Christian foster families, is a liaison between social services and local churches in 12 counties to meet the needs of at-risk families, and provides family-style group foster homes for teens, young moms & their babies, and young adults who age out of foster care in order to prevent homelessness. 4KIDS provides ongoing support to its foster families with dedicated volunteers, monthly programming and research-based therapeutic services to help children heal. 4KIDS MISSION: Providing Hope to Kids in Crisis.
The majority of 4KIDS' volunteers serve on FAM Teams. FAM volunteers either provide a monthly meal for their foster family OR provide childcare at least once per month (childcare volunteers may serve alongside another volunteer to provide sufficient coverage if family has more than 2 children). Once complete, FAM Teams are comprised of a Team Leader, 2-4 childcare providers & 1-4 meal providers. FAM Teams keep our foster families strong and encouraged as their needs for support & prayer are met by caring volunteers!
Note: The 4KIDS Volunteer Dept. will assist those who apply to be FAM childcare volunteers through a clearance process.
